The company Care Safety Innovations has developed a digital platform that will transform home care in the UK and USA.

The Norwegian company Care Safety Innovations (CSI) has big plans to make home care more efficient in the UK and USA. The company has developed a digital platform called Vita Care Companion (VCC) which will make everyday life easier for both carers, patients and relatives.

- In Great Britain and the United States, pen and paper are still used in home care. CSI is the first on the market with a "game changer" solution for which there is a significant need and market, says Hans-Henrik Merckoll, CEO of CSI in a press release.

Merckoll, who was previously a manager in IBM Norway, now leads the company together with several high-profile names from the health and technology sector. Among these is Lill Sverresdatter Larsen , leader of the Norwegian Nurses Association . She is a board member of CSI.

The platform uses cloud and AI technology and has features such as real-time

communication, GPS tracking and AV recording. The goal is to give care personnel a more efficient everyday life and more time for patients.

CSI has already entered into its first customer agreement in the UK with the private home care operator A1 Care, starting in December. The company also plans to enter the US market, starting in Florida.

- Increased privatisation of healthcare services and the need for more efficient care solutions places CSI at the heart of a growing market. The home care sector in the UK is valued at NOK 80 billion and has approximately 11,000 home care providers who are our potential customers, explains Merckoll.

The company collaborates with IT giants such as Microsoft and Kyndryl to ensure operational stability, scaling and security of the platform.

- With an aging population and increasing need for home care, CSI sees great opportunities in the international market. The UN estimates that two billion people will be over 60 by 2050, which underlines the need for more effective care solutions, says Mercoll.
