Care Safety Innovations (CSI) is delighted to announce that Lois Quam is joining the CSI Board, following her role as Strategic Advisor to the business.
Named three times to FORTUNE’s list of the most influential women leaders in business, Lois brings more than 30 years of senior leadership experience across the corporate, government and civil society sectors. Her career is defined by leading complex, regulated healthcare organisations at scale, with a strong focus on public interest, innovation and impact.
Lois spent 18 years at UnitedHealth Group, rising to one of the organisation’s most senior leadership roles. In this role, she led large, multi-market healthcare operations serving government and public sector organisations, overseeing tens of thousands of employees and multi-billion-dollar revenues. Her experience of running healthcare at scale, balancing quality, compliance and commercial performance, aligns closely with CSI’s mission.
Beyond the private sector, Lois has held senior roles at the highest levels of government and global health. She was selected by President Obama to lead the US Global Health Initiative, managing more than $8 billion in annual funding across more than 80 countries. She has also served as Chief Executive Officer of Pathfinder since 2017, bringing a strong international and mission-led perspective.
Lois’s appointment to the CSI Board strengthens our leadership with deep expertise across commerce, public policy and international healthcare systems. Her insight will support CSI as we continue to scale trusted, AI-enabled technology that improves safety, evidence and outcomes across health and care services.
We are proud to welcome Lois Quam to the CSI Board and look forward to working with her in this new capacity.
